Have you guys thought about making a consumer products, sounds as if you have all the answers to L letterpress faults. I was thinking about purchasing one, but quite reluctant of all the extras that I will need to do. Personally, I would like to have everything in one kit. Thanks for the information it was extremely insightful.

Hi Carrie, Remember me from the Financial Aid Dept at Naz? I thought of you today when my daughter, who is an art teacher at Fairport High School, brought home a book given to her by one of the school custodions, a gentleman from Nepal. He made the book himself in Nepal and looking at its' beauty, I thought of the beautiful paper and books you made. I decided to look you up and here you are! I'm so glad you're still doing what you love. Take care, Vicki

I also have not bought a L letterpress- nor do I intend to, but I am going to use a clay slab roller and make my own letterpress tool and all this info was very helpful- and made it just that much more encouraging to buy your plates! Thanks so much for being dedicated to your artform :)

Thank you for this article! I was so happy at the prospect of achieving a letterpress finish for my craft but was devastated when I read on that it would not be what i hoped it to be, with my Sizziz Big Shot. This article has renewed my faith, and I am indeed willing to put in more patience and effort to produce an acceptable standard of product. However, as I am based overseas (international shipping is a killer!) and I am an amatuer crafter, I am keen to know whether it is possible to use the Epic that you have in the pictures, or my Big Shot, together with hand carved wood or linoleum type to do letterpress? Will it wreck the machine altogether?

This reminds me of my early university days back in Ottawa, where the best place to get poutine was at the chip stand on campus...one of my classmates, who is now a doctor and health fanatic, used to scarf down this daily, and gleefully say, "oh poutine, what don't you make better?"

Reading your post, I was afraid that you were going to overlook the most shamefully neglected element to poutine: cheese curds. These are not optional, and I'm sorry to say, cheddar, while it is a fine cheese, is no substitute for curds in poutine. I must regretfully inform your readers that poutine without curds is indeed, not poutine. I'm sure it's tasty, but it's something entirely different!

Thanks for this review. I really appreciate it. I've been in the invitation design industry for 6 years but have always outsourced my printing. When I heard about the L Letterpress, I thought it might be fun to try and I'm glad to have a resource to make it actually work. Thanks for these techniques and all you do for the industry.

I visited Montreal back in the 90's, but I still remember how good poutine is, I am convinced that it is in fact, the worlds most perfect food. I also love the fact that you can get it all over Montreal, including at McDonald's! Until I can get there again, I'll just have to settle for boring gravy fries that you can get at the local Hawaiian restaurant.

I came across your write up on the Letterpress L and thank you for the great tips you took the time to provide people who have an interest in Letterpressing. I am in the process of waiting for mine to be developed but it is just for my own limited use. However, I do think I'll be taking you up on the Custom Plates service. Thanks again for the excellent write up.
